The Zoran Radosavljević Award

ZRadosavljevic
Zoran Radosavljević (1965-1999), a major in the Yugoslav Army, was
a fighter pilot who flew the MiG 29 aircraft and was a member of the
elite 127th Fighter Aviation Squadron "Knights". He was killed on 26
March 1999 defending the skies above his homeland in an unfair fight. At
the time Major Radosavljević was enrolled in postgraduate studies at the
Faculty of Transportation and Traffic Engineering. He had received his
Master's degree in 1998, with the thesis "Systems for Supporting Flight
Navigation of Fighter Aviation". Part of the research for his master's
thesis was published inleading international journal Transportation
Planning and Technology. He loved the sky and water, as a pilot, sailor
and founder of the Polaris Yachting Club. He was a soldier from head to
toe, an enthusiast, an explorer, a fine person and a friend of the
employees of the Division of Airports and Air Traffic Safety. He aspired
to be the best in everything that he did.
With the aim of preserving the memory of this brave, clever, good and successful person in every respect, the Division of Airports and Air Traffic Safety established the Zoran Radosavljević Award, which has since 2000 been presented annually tothe best graduate student of the Division of Airports and Air Traffic Safety.

Zoran Radosavljević (1965-1999), major Vojske Jugoslavije, bio je pilot lovca presretača MIG 29 i pripadnik elitne vazduhoplovne jedinice
Vitezovi. Braneći nebo domovine, 26. marta 1999. godine, u neravnopravnoj borbi dao je svoj život. Zoran Radosavljević je bio student poslediplomskih studija na Saobraćajnom fakultetu. Magistrirao je 1998. godine, odbranivši magistarsku tezu «Sistem za podršku odlučivanju u vazduhoplovnoj navigaciji lovačke avijacije». Deo istraživanja iz magistarske teze objavio je u vodećem međunarodnom časopisu «Transportation Planning and Technology». Bio je zaljubljenik neba i vodenih površina, kao pilot, jedriličar i osnivač jedriličarkog kluba «Polaris». Bio je vojnik od glave do pete, entuzijasta, istraživač, dobar čovek i prijatelj zaposlenih na Odseku za vazdušni saobraćaj. U svemu čime se bavio težio je da bude prvi i među najboljima.


Želeći da sačuva uspomenu na ovog hrabrog, pametnog, dobrog i u svakom pogledu izuzetnog čoveka, Odsek za vazdušni saobraćaj je ustanovio diplomu «Zoran Radosavljević». Ova diploma se počev od 2000. godine svake godine uručuje najboljem diplomiranom studentu Odseka za vazdušni saobraćaj.
