Mr Nina Polovina

Nina Polovina was born in Zagreb on September 28, 1974. She completed her primary schooling in Zagreb, and graduated from high school in Kragujevac. In 1993 she  enrolled in the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Philology, majoring in German language and literature. Having spent one year at the Humboldt University in Berlin as a DAAD scholar, she took her BA degree in German language and literature from the University of Belgrade 1999. After that she accepted an offer to work as a German language teaching assistant at the Philological Faculty where she took her MA degree in German language in 2007.
Since 2001 she has been employed at the Transport and Traffic Engineering Faculty as a German teacher for the subjects German Language 1, German Language 2, German Language 3, German Language 4 - courses within the undergraduate studies curriculum, and German Language in Bussiness Communication within the graduate program Management and Economics in Transportation and Communication.
The most important fields of her research work are German language for specific purposes and text linguistics. She took active part in a large number of seminars and specializations, as well as in various projects in her country and abroad.
She is an author of the monograph "A Linguistic Approach to the Woman Concept", a coauthor of "The Curriculum of German Language for Students of Non-Philological Faculties” and of the textbook "With German in Europe: Study-Work-Live".
