2008-2009.

In August 2009, Prof. Vojin Tosic was appointed by the SESAR Joint Undertaking to the SESAR Scientific Committee. "SESAR Joint Undertaking is setting-up a new Scientific Committee to reinforce its innovative and scientific approach to building the future Air Traffic Management systems and procedures. 12 European scientific personalities are now part of SESAR demonstrating the strong involvement of the Scientific Community to guarantee high level academic contribution to the SESAR programme." May 19-20, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina: Vojin Tosic and Radosav Jovanovic were members of the national delegation nominated by the Ministry of Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia, at the Consultation Session on Transport, held in the course of WBC-INCO.NET setting of regional research priorities. They presented the "National background report on transport for Serbia". The WBC-INCO.NET is the FP7 project aimed at enhancing the integration of the Western Balkan countries in the European Research Area.

In January 2008, Vojin Tosic was nominated by the Ministry of Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia as a member of the Serbian delegation to the Program Committee - Transport (including Aeronautics) of the European Commission Framework Program 7 (EC FP7). As a Program Committee member he is also member of ACARE (Advisory Council for Aeronautics Research in Europe).

On December 26, 2008 the Third Conference of Graduated Air Transport Engineers (BSc) and Engineers - Air Traffic Controllers, titled: "Where are we? What are we doing? ", was held at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering. The Conference was organized and sponsored by the Division of Airports and Air Traffic Safety and the Division of Transport Planning and Airline Operations Management.

2007-2008.

Bojana Mirkovic has been employed as a Teaching and Research Assistant at the Division since July 3, 2008.

Radosav Jovanovic has been employed as a Research Assistant at the Division since May 23, 2008.


2006-2007.

The Air Transport Department is starting, together with the Air Force Academy, a joint 4-year Undergraduate programme "Air Force Pilot-Air Transport Engineer".

2005-2006.

Igor Poltoracki's paper "Functional Relationship of Elements of Apron and Terminal Building at the Airport" has been awarded as the best paper in Airport Operations Session at the "2nd International Conference on Research in Air Transportation - ICRAT 2006", held in Belgrade, Serbia, June 24-28, 2006.

Bojana Mirkovic has been employed as Junior Teaching and Research Assistant at the Division since December 15, 2005.

Igor Poltoracki has been engaged as a Research Assistant (consulting) since October 1, 2005.

Obrad Babic has, together with Milica Kalic, been engaged as a lecturer at the course of "Air Traffic and Transport" at the Military Technical Academy in Belgrade.


2004-2005.

Tatjana Krstic Simic has been employed as a Teaching and Research Assistant at the Division since September 12, 2005.

On December 27 and 28, 2004 the First Conference of Graduated Air Transport Engineers (BSc) and Engineers - Air Traffic Controllers, titled: "Where are we? What are we doing?", Air Transport Today - New Challenges, was held at Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering. The Conference was sponsored by Division of Airports and Air Traffic Safety, Division of Aircraft Operation and Air Transport Planning and Management, as well as Jat Airways and SMATSA.

2003-2004.

Fedja Netjasov has been employed as a Teaching and Research Assistant at the Division since January 13, 2004.


2002-2003.

Tatjana Krstic, Fedja Netjasov and Igor Poltoracki from April 3 - 5, 2003, attended the "FIDIC Contracts for Construction" course organized by SEED - Southeast Europe Enterprise Development office in Belgrade (sponsored by The World Bank Group and International Finance Corporation) and obtained certificates. The course was held at the SEED office in Belgrade.

Obrad Babic was elected Head of the Air Transport Department of the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering for a period of two years in October 2002.

2001-2002.

Through the Institute of the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering, the Division together with the INECO, Spain, took part in the international tender Master Plan of Belgrade Airport Offer, held by the European Agency for Reconstruction. Among 35 European consulting firms (groups), INECO and The Division were short listed along with 7 leading European and worlds firms. After the tender competition, our offer was ranked only 0.28% below then the winning tender offer.

Four members of Air Transport Department participated in a three-day course named "Project Management" organized by "Project Management Institute", USA, May 8-10, 2002. The course was organized at EUROCONTROL CRDS in Budapest and following persons participated: Dr Milica Kalic, Olja Vujic, Igor Poltoracki i Fedja Netjasov.

2000-2001.

Vojin Tosic has, since November 2000, been engaged by the Federal Ministry of Transport as an aviation expert to produce analysis and information and for contacts in cooperation with international organizations to facilitate rehabilitation and development of transport systems.

Obrad Babic was elected acting Dean of the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering in October 2000. and in December 2000. was appointed by the Government of FR Serbia to the position of the Dean.

Vojin Tosic was elected Head of the Air Transport Department of the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering for a period of two years in October 2000.

1999-2000.

During the summer semester the Division organized the workshop "Human Factors in Air Traffic Control" which resulted in graduate students'' research reports in the area of air traffic control, communication, workload and situational awareness. The results were presented to the FATCA (Federal Air Traffic Control Authority).

Igor Poltoracki won the "Zoran Radosavljevic" award given to the best graduate in the Air Transport Department of the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering. The initiative for the award came from the Division and was introduced by the Faculty in December 1999.

Since October 1, 1999, Tatjana Bolic, Fedja Netjasov and Igor Poltoracki, have been employed as junior assistants.

Obrad Babic taught the "Airport" course at the Technical Faculty, University "Sveti Kliment Ohridski", in Bitola, Macedonia.


1998-1999.

During 1998/1999 Obrad Babic was lecturer of the "Air Traffic and Transport" course at the Military Technical Academy in Belgrade. He also taught the "Airport" course at the Technical Faculty, University "Sveti Kliment Ohridski", in Bitola, Macedonia.


1997-1998.

On September 5, 1998 Professor Milos Lukic, the founder of the Division died at age of 82. He was also one of the founders of the Department of Air Transport at the Faculty in 1960. Professor Lukic was the Head of the Division till 1983 when he retired from the University.

In May 1998 a senior year student excursion was organised. During excursion airports in Budapest, Vienna and Munich were visited.

During 1997/98 Obrad Babic was a lecturer in the course "Air Traffic and Transport" at the Military Academy in Belgrade.


1996-1997.

In June 1997 final year student excursion was organised. During excursion airports in Budapest and Vienna were visited.

In May 1997 Obrad Babic was elected Professor.

Tatjana Krstic and Brankica Pesic have been employed at Division of Airports and Air Traffic Safety as temporary junior research assistents (special program for talented graduated students).

During 1996/97 Obrad Babic was lecturer at the course "Air Traffic and Transport" at the Military Technical Academy in Belgrade. During the same school year he was member of the Council of the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering.


1995-1996.

On the occasion of the 45th Anniversary of the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering and the 35th Anniversary of the Department of Air Transport, the Division of Airports and Air Traffic Safety has compiled a data base on the Department of Air Transport (605).

During the 1995/96 school year Obrad Babic was lecturer at the course "Air Traffic and Transport" at the Military Technical Academy in Belgrade.


1993-1995.

During the 1994/95 school year Obrad Babic was the President of the Council of the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering. Obrad Babic was the Head of the Department of Air Transport for the period 1993-1995.

During the 1994/95 school year Obrad Babic was lecturer at the course "Air Traffic and Transport" at the Military Technical Academy in Belgrade.
