Mr. Ranka M. Gajić, Assistant

She graduated (1988). and MA (2003.) Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade, in the field of landscape and urban design.

- Diploma thesis: "Comparative Analysis of Music and Architecture (example: Project for the funeral chapel at the cemetery on Bezanija in Belgrade).

- Thesis: "Investigation of the allotment and the physical structure of the process of reconstruction of the central zone.

Of Transportation University of Belgrade has since 1997, first in the rank of assistant, then assistant.

Areas of research and interests

Urbanization, Urban Planning, Sustainable urban development, building the idea of sustainable development into local urban practice with a focus on morphological aspects of sustainable land use

The drafting of a doctoral dissertation under the working title: Recommendations for the sustainable use of urban land from the standpoint of the morphological aspect of the case of an open apartment block in the example of New Belgrade.

Professional engagement

  • Since 2004. The Secretary of the Presidency of the Company Urbanist Belgrade.
  • Participated as rapporteur in the work of the jury for the architectural and urban development calls for significant locations in Belgrade (FK, 2004, Breaking, 2007).
  • Team member of the Company Urbanist Belgrade to produce "expert-critical analysis of previous solutions to the urban area of Belgrade Sava Amphitheatre" (2007).
  • Since 2008. The member ISOCARP (International Society of City and Regional Planners).
  • As a member of an improvement of the profession worked in the organization of four symposia in the field of urban planning and the editing and review of their papers.
