New generation of E-mail service
A new generation of Faculty e-mail service has been successfully implemented during this weekend.
The new email service is not only a solution to numerous problems which were particularly noticeable in recent months, but also consist of a number of new features. Implementation of this system follows the introduction of a new generation of hardware to work, which will satisfy all future needs over the next 5-10 years. The system of client access, and access via webmail service now meets the needs for access to e-mail using mobile platforms, such as mobile phones or PDA devices. To make this type of functionality was available, in addition to POP and SMTP protocols, RCSF introduced and the IMAP protocol, which is recommended for users. RCSF is therefore prepared several manuals graphically interpreted for the formation of the order of several popular e-mail clients.
Note that old e-mail service is not extinct, but was moved to another address, on which will work until it ceases to need. This means that the new service over a standard setting which, as noted, supplemented and that look like this:
The new system:

Incoming server address (IMAP): sf.sf.bg.ac.rs
Outgoing server address (SMTP): sf.sf.bg.ac.rs + option My outgoing server requires authentication - Use same settings as my incoming mail server.

Please note that the first sync email folders, as long as possible to download messages, if in a hundred or more letters in the mailboxes.
Also, the new system is not turned off the POP3 protocol, which means that users who want to continue using this protocol should set the parameter Incoming server address (POP3): sf.sf.bg.ac.rs. RCSF recommended switch to use the IMAP protocol.
